My husband and I are full time farmers in Northern Vermont.
Our farm is a diversified 220 acre farm including 4 acres of vegetables, strawberries, blueberries, laying hens, pigs, broilers, hay and heritage breed cows, American Milking Devons. Oh, and maple syrup! Did I forget anything?
We’ve been farming for 13 years and we’ve LOVED it but not for much longer….our family is getting ready to move aboard our 38′ sailboat this fall for a crazy change and grand adventure!
We like to say the most important things we grow are our three children, whom we homeschool.
Rob, my farmer/sailor/husband extraordinaire, is a 5th generation Vermont farmer. I am a transplant from Coastal Alaska, and while I always miss my Alaska home, we have made a life for ourselves here and I love Vermont.
I also love small towns, big cities, coffee, mountains, the sea, friends and street performers, in no certain order.
This blog is a place for me to share our unusual life, our funny stories, our passion for food, the land, sailing, travel, our homeschool adventures and this journey we call life. Sometimes it’s crazy, but we wouldn’t change it for the world.
Pour a cup of coffee and laugh with us, celebrate with us or just enjoy the scenery!
